Q1: JustINA is connecting with the FXS. Calls between analog phones failed but calls from IP phone to analog phone works.
Maybe there is too much invite data from JustINA, which cause packet discarded. Please contact us for JustINA upgrade.
Q2: Analog phones will broadcast the voice says "there is no internet connection" when FXS has no internet. How to turn the voice off?
Access FXS by telnet. After entering the config mode, enter the command “inet gateway-ping stop”.
Q3: When answering the call, the analog phone will be freezed. Have to reboot the phone to recover. Why?
Go to “Advanced-FXO Parameter”. Set the “Format of From filed when CID is Available” as “CID/CID”. And make sure the phone line support “Caller ID”.
Q4: How to set the analog phone to make a speed dial without pressing '#'?
Go to “Advanced>Service Parameter”,decrease the time of “Timeout for Dialing”.
Q5: The extension 8084 is registered on FXS. When the IP phone 8070 calls 8084, it shows time-out.
Maybe there are too many voice codecs carried by 8070, causing the FXS not responding. Only 729(PCMA) and 711(PCMU) two codes sent by IP phone, only enable these two codec on IPPBX.
Q6: What if I forget the IP address of FXS?
You can pick up an analog phone, and then press ‘*158#’, you will hear the FXS’s IP from the call.
Q7: What are the common function codes for FXS?
‘*158#’ for announcing the device’s IP.
‘*114#’ for announcing account number at this port.
‘*72*’ + number for always forwarding call the number.
